For all of Colorado east of the continental divide, south of the 40th parallel, and north of the 38th parallel, as well as east of the 103rd meridian, including present Denver, Pueblo, Colorado Springs (then Colorado City), and many of the early mining camps, see the 1860 U.S. census for Arapahoe County, Kansas (Roll 348).
All of present Colorado north of the 40th parallel and east of the continental divide was part of Nebraska Territory (Roll 665) in 1860.
All of Colorado south of the 38th parallel and between the continental divide and the 103rd meridian was then New Mexico Territory, and all of Colorado west of the continental divide was then Utah Territory.
